science UnitsThis year we're studying Physics, Astronomy, and Natural History. Physics is the study of matter and motion. We will conduct some exciting experiments during this unit! Astronomy is the study of outer space. We will learn about our own solar system, as well as other celestial bodies like supernovas, black holes, & other stars! Natural History is the study of organisms including plants and animals in their environment. We will go outside for Phenology writing sessions, where we will observe the changes of the seasons and how those changes affect the life around us! |
science in daily life
Studying Science can and should take place on a daily basis. You can use the following tips to become a more knowledgeable young scientist: -Use your powers of observation. Noticing and questioning the things that happen around you is a critical part of being a scientific investigator. Bring these questions and ideas to class to share with everyone! -Collect samples. Looking for details is something that scientists do every day. -Keep a journal. Recording your thoughts and observations by writing and drawing makes it easier to notice how everything around us is connected. |
